The St Ives Branch are hosting a History Talk about the town, and it will be presented by Mr David Thomas (the County Archivist)The Talk will take place in The Godrivy Room at The Carbis Bay Hotel and commence at 7.00pm. It should last approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are £5 and bookings can be made by calling the Association office or Linda Taylor on 01736 850177.There will also be an opportunity to book an evening meal afterwards, with the options of a one course meal for £20 or two courses for £29.99.
Tony Woodhams will be hosting this year's Chairman's lunch at the Housel Bay Hotel on the Lizard. Those of you have have been to the Housel Bay will know of the stunning views you get from the function room - and they're even better outside. For those of you have not been before, it really is one of those hotels you must visit.The tickets for the function are £25 a head and this will be for a four course lunch. Tony Hogg, the Conservative Candidate for the up-comng Police and Crime Commissioner Election (on November 15th) will be back in the Constituency to spend time with shoppers in both Penzance (morning) and St. Ives (afternoon).
