• Conservative councillors listened to the people of this constituency and led the opposition to the County Council's unitary bid.  It was their belief that the model would not stand up to scrutiny and that there would be a deficit in the number of councillors representing the electorate.
• Conservatives will continue to lead the way to ensure that the new Unitary Authority will safeguard public servicesnand that YOU, the council taxpayer, receives value for money.
• Conservative councillors have demonstrated that they can run efficient councils.
• Conservatives form the largest political group on Penwith District Council and, under a Conservative Chairman of Resouce, have ensured that Penwith has the lowest council tax rate in Cornwall again this year.
